We will be opening at about 1:00 pm on tuesday Feb 18th due to the snow. please call the store before making the trip . I am not sure if we will have lessons yet so please contact your instructor. we have been open since Feb 10th and the new store is starting to come together. NEW LOCATION !!!!!!!! ....Since the fire on friday alot has happened. Where can I start? How about from friday......watched all day as the building my store is in was burning and being dowsed with fire hoses. Thankfully the Firepeople went inside my store as the fire was burning and covered everything with plastic (I understand that it was a fireWOMAN and would love to thank her) and protected the guitars and other contents of the store. most of our inventory was spared. After the fire chief declared the building safe we went in and surprisingly the effects were not that bad. the store has serious water damage and I cannot continue to stay open in that location. It will take months to rebuild the building and we cannot wait............

So we packed all the guitars and amps and friday and saturday got most of the contents into safe storage ..........final tally of damage is actually not that bad. Some wet computers and a few wet amps...books and records are also ruined. But it could have been much worse..

This morning Mario Rivera (best friend and Guitar Instructor) went and looked at a shop down the street and worked out a deal with the owner to rent it on a temporary basis until we figure where to stay permanently.

So it looks like we have a new shop at 14 East Main st Lansdale Pa 19446 - Its at the corner of Main and Broad streets next to the Mobil gas station and there is parking in the back..The phone should be the same # (215-393-5988) - it has not been working properly since the fire but I now have it forwarding to my cell phone and you should be able to reach me now.. you can also email me if you have any questions. So I would say that in about 2 weeks max we will be in the new store and all lessons and repairs will resume

Fire at Martyn's Guitars ...........today there was a really bad fire in the apartment overtop of my store here in Lansdale. the apartment was totally engulfed in flames and the poor people living there are now out of a home and I had serious water damage in the store- but no one is hurt and it could have been much worse..anyway I want to thank the local Firemen for being so great and all my freinds who helped us out ... damage was not nearly as bad as I though it would be as I was watching the firemen do their job.. so as of today we are going to be closed and might have to find a new location. please check here often to see whats up. I will post any store related news here on the this main page

also thanks to all our great customers who have made our business grow and thrive. I WILL NOT QUIT!!! and I promise to be back up and running some time very soon.. ..... Rob Martyn
